Ecosystem building
Building by building, our ecosystem was slowly built to come together as one comprehensive area that made sense to all stakeholders – not just the people working there, but those families that were living there too.
The overall plan was to create short-term milestones which fit into a longer-term plan for the development of the Iskandar region. This initiative was further strengthened in 2021, with the recognition of the Medini Central Business District in Iskandar Puteri as the digital hub for the state of Johor.

Blockchain Village @ Medini
In line with Medini Iskandar's vision to be an icon of Future City Living, BV@M was launched in 2019 and is the first in Malaysia to develop a Blockchain ecosystem in Medini Iskandar. It is the first coordinated platform to innovate ad capitalise on the advantages of Blockchain to create a thriving ecosystem in Medini, Iskandar Puteri.

Iskandar Space
Another milestone for IIB’s Innovation Hub, Common Ground Iskandar Space (CGIS) is a contemporary-styled coworking venue spanning 14,500 sq.ft. at Medini 6, Iskandar Puteri with a mix of shared “hot desks”, “fixed desks”, private offices, meeting rooms, event spaces and lounge settings. CGIS is a collaboration between Common Ground Works Sdn Bhd and IIB, aimed at developing and implementing Industry 4.0-based technology ecosystems to further Johor’s digital aspirations.
